♬ Santa Barbara Bowl Instrument Fund ♬
SB Bowl's Instrument Fund ensures that lack of an instrument doesn't prevent a child from learning to play music.
Created in direct response to the many recurring needs of local schools and arts education programs, the Instrument Fund repairs and replaces instruments for Santa Barbara County youth.
Generous funding was received from the Elaine F. Stepanek Foundation, the Mosher Foundation and other passionate donors who helped launch and sustain this program.
Examples of requests that qualify: purchasing a replacement instrument, instrument cases, repairs for broken instruments including tune-ups, supplies such as tuners, strings, straps, etc.
Examples of requests that do not qualify: furniture for a music classroom, instructor fees, licensing fees, etc.
Applications are reviewed by the Outreach Committee. If you request is approved, you will receive an email notification with further instructions. Funding can either be dispersed as a check to your school or organization, or a local music shop may be able to invoice the Bowl directly. Decisions typically take about one to two weeks.
